United Africa Logistics System PLC (UALOGISTICS) is an Addis Ababa technology company founded by local and expatriate Ethiopians to address challenges in the logistics sector.

UALogistics is registered under the commercial laws of Ethiopia and provides a high performance Digital Freight Marketplace solutions to the Country’s domestic ground logistics market. UALogistics is managed by highly experienced team with more 100 years of combined experience in technology, logistics and transportation.

  Baheru Zeyenu

  Co-founder, General Manger and CEO of UALogistics.

  Mr. Zeyenu is a founder of AFRICOM TECHNOLOGIES, with deep expertise in large scale software solutions, including a broad portfolio in e-governance solutions. As an entrepreneur in Ethiopia’s technology sector, Baheru is also a successful thought-leader, and serves in various local and national executive boards, including Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association and Ethiopian ICT Village Resident Company Association. Mr. Seyenu brings strong leadership, proven entrepreneurial, business building and development skills to UALogical. Mr. Zeyenu holds both Master of Science (MSc) and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

  Mohamoud Ali

  Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

  Mohamoud Ali is a published author, researcher, educator, and information technology thought leader. He holds a computer science PhD from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. His research interest is primarily in the area of artificial intelligence, particularly predictive analytics and machine learning, text engineering, natural language processing and autonomous agents. As an adjust professor, he taught Human-Computer Interface at the University of the Missouri – Kansas City. Outside of the academia, Mohamoud has more than 15 years of experience building commercial and enterprise software solutions primarily in the Microsoft .NET stack for automotive industry, medical industry, shipping industry, banking industry and freight industry. He is currently serving as a Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Miler, LLC, a US-based Software-as-a-Service solution provider to the Freight Industry. Mohamoud has a demonstrated track record and passion for leading and working with highly cohesive and effective teams. Mr. Ali bring proven leadership, deep knowledge of technology, both in academia and practice, and entrepreneurial drive and spirit.

  Abdinur

  Co-founder, VP for Business Development

  Abdinur Ali is a veteran technologist with over 25 years of software engineering experience working in various industries including engineering, banking, financial and legal services. In addition to his VP for business development role, Abdinur is also acting as the company’s primary cloud architecture. Abdinur also volunteers for various philanthropist activities in the broader Horn of Africa, primarily in the education sector, help building and maintaining elementary schools in rural parts of Ethiopia. Abdinur holds a bachelor of science (BS) degrees in computer science and economics from the University of Missouri – USA.

  Elias Ali

  Senior Consultant

  Elias Ali is a business consultant providing consultancy service to a variety of business sectors including transport, logistics and ICT. He has advanced degree in Applied Trade Policy Analysis. His academic background and 15+ years of work experience afforded him invaluable insights and the ability to develop innovative ideas and strategies in improving processes, and providing a deeper understanding of the multifaceted challenges and opportunities business and industries face at the national level. Elias Ali’s particular expertise is in the transport and logistics sectors. Elias has written and published research papers on the Ethiopian ground logistic Elias holds Master of Applied Trade Policy Analysis from Addis Ababa University.

  Wondie Hailu

  Director of Customer Relations

  Mr. Hailu has extensive experience and knowledge cross the entire ground transportation logistics spectrum. In his long service with the Ethiopian Ministry of Transportation and Logistics (MoTL), spanning over 40 years, Mr. Hailu held various key positions. In his last post Mr. Hailu served as Uni-modal Operations Department Director of the Ethiopian Logistics and Service Enterprise (ESLSE), responsible for the overall operational strategy and direction of the Department. Prior to that he served as Head of Import Division- MTS Djibouti Branch, and the Kality Port and Terminal Branch Manager respectively. Mr. Hailu brings wealthy of operational, managerial and industry knowledge and experience to the UALogistics. Mr. Hailu holds a degree in economics from Addis Ababa University.
